PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire font data which undergoes bitmap image expansion and to perform print processing of it by identifying a client device which receives print information, requesting external expansion of font information that can not be expanded and acquiring bitmap image data that undergoes external expansion when it is decided that the font information can not be expanded into a bitmap image. SOLUTION: This server device 201 analyzes print information which is received from a client device 200 through a network NET and produces a bitmap image that can be printed by a printer and a CPU decides whether or not font information in the print information can be expanded to a bitmap image. When it decides that the font information can not be expanded into a bitmap image, it identifies the device 200 which receives the print information and requests external expansion of the font information that can not be expanded. After made requesting, bitmap image data which undergoes external expansion at the device 200 is acquired.
