METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REDUCING ARTIFACT SIGNAL LEVEL IN PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of erroneous alarms caused by erroneous measurement, by collecting second physiological signals by collecting technique different from a first physiological signal collecting method to determine the cardiac rate and using the formerly determined cardiac rate in bandpass filtering of the first physiological signals. SOLUTION: A sensor 4 of ta physiological monitor 2 collects electrocardiographic signals (ECG) 5 and a sensor 6 red collects light or infrared light oxygen saturation degree (SpO2) electric signals 7a, 7b. The cardiac rate is independently obtained from ECG signals 5 collected by the sensor 4 and the value is controllably used for bandpass filtering collected SpO2 signals. Filter properties of bandpass filters 16a and 16b are controlled by the frequency of the cardiac rate and controllably filtered before supplying the red light and infrared light SpO2 electric signals 7a and 7b to a processor 8.
