TREATMENT OF WASTE LIQUID LUBRICANT FOR DRAWING COPPER WIRE AND USE OF COPPER ION-CONTAINING SOLUTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a waste liq. lubricant for drawing copper wire, a copper ion-contg. soln. obtained by the treatment and its use. ;SOLUTION: A waste liq. lubricant for drawing copper wire is filtered, admixed with an alkali agent, agitated, then let stand and separated into an upper liq. and a flocculated and settled material at the bottom. The upper liq. is drawn off and filtered to adsorb oil on a filter medium, and a copper ion-contg. soln. is obtained. The soln. is used to remove the malodor of a paper industry waste water due to hydrogen sulfide. Since the waste liq. as an aq. soln. contains oil, copper ion, copper powder, or the like, the waste liq. is an industrial waste which has not been appropriately treated. However, the copper ion-contg. soln. occupying nearly the whole part of the waste is recovered by this method and used in treating paper industry waste water, hence this method contributes to treating of an industrial waste and prevention of environmental pollution due to malodor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
