ELECTROSTATIC CAPACITY TYPE WATER-CONTENT RATE METER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrostatic capacity type water-content rate meter which is hardly affected by the fluidization pattern of a multiphase fluid. SOLUTION: In this water-content rate meter, a cylinder drive electrode 11 for applying a certain voltage signal with a frequency as well as an amplitude to a multiphase fluid and a cylinder measuring electrode 12 virtually grounded for detecting a current flowing in through the multiphase fluid are arranged parallel with a pipeline 13 through which the multiphase fluid flows and an electrostatic capacity is measured between the cylinder drive electrode 11 and the cylinder measuring electrode 12 to determine a water-content rate in the multiphase fluid. In this case, a cylinder dummy electrode 16 with its potential equal to that of the cylinder measuring electrode 12 is arranged between the cylinder drive electrode 11 and the cylinder measuring electrode 12 to inhibit a part of a line of electric force toward the cylinder measuring electrode 12 passing near a wall of the pipeline 13.
