The dry powder is obtained by adding hydrochloric acid into the slurry obtained by adding water to the hydrate cake and having ≤200 g/L concentration expressed in terms of TiO2 to neutralize to pH 6.0-9.0, heating 70-90°C, aging for ≥1 hr, filtering, washing and drying. The dry powder is fired at 650-750°C for 4-16 hr and pulverized to obtain the sodium hexatitanate lumpy particle having 0.1-1 μm, preferably 0.3-0.5 μm average particle diameter and average aspect ratio of 1.0-3.5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
