METALLIC MATERIAL IN FURNACE OPENING PART OF REFINING VESSEL AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING EROSION OF REFRACTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erosion preventing method of a refining vessel which improves the service life of a furnace opening part metallic material and a refractory at more than that of the conventional method by blowing hydrocarbon base liquid onto the refining vessel. ;SOLUTION: In the refining vessel provided with a top-blown lance 2 which can supply oxidized gas for refining, the molten metal and/or oxide metal is refining with the oxidized gas. Further, in the refining method of the metal executing secondary combustion of exhaust gas, a flow-passage for supplying the hydrocarbon base liquid is formed in the top-blown lance 2 and the hydrocarbon base liquid is atomized near the metallic material and the refractory in the furnace opening part of the refining vessel by changing grain diameter distribution of the liquid drips according to the atomizing position of the top- blown lance 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
