PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital answering machine that stores voice data and non-voice data in cross reference with each other. ;SOLUTION: Areas of a common memory are divided into plural sectors and each sector is divided to pages including both voice data and non-voice data. A message table is provided to relate the voice data with the non-voice data. An offset represents a start point of addresses for the voice data stored adjacent to the non-voice data.
