PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom of base station installation and to enable a mobile communication system which is not suitable to fast traveling such as a PHS to make a transportation, etc., which fast travels a service area by relaying between a base station and a telephone station through a satellite or a ground radio channel. ;SOLUTION: Mobile base stations 1 and 25 are installed on a train 60. A satellite correspondence telephone station 11 which receives radio waves from a satellite 51, a ground wave telephone station 17 and a connecting device 16 that has a terminal interface are connected to a mobile telephone network 61. The station 1 communicates with the network 61 through the satellite 51 and the station 11, and also, the station 25 communicates with the network 61 through the station 17 or a mobile telephone 23 which is used for relay and corresponds to fast traveling. Thus, a mobile telephone 30 of a mobile telephone system that does not fit fast traveling which exists in the service areas of the stations 1 and 25 can receive service.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
