PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a concentrated and dried surfactant free from discoloration due to thermal deterioration from a high-concentration surfactant slurry by using a compact low-cost apparatus. ;SOLUTION: A slurry containing a high concentration of a surfactant is continuously fed into a double-pipe type heater 61 of a type in which a film of the slurry is formed on the heating wall, while it is being heated, introduced into a flash evaporator 55, and flash-evaporated to remove the water from the slurry to obtain a concentrated and dried high-concentration surfactant slurry. This slurry and other detergents components are subjected to granulation or powder mixing to form detergent particles.
