PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely remove the coating agent stuck to a bridge part and to prevent the generation of a casting defect by coating the outer periphery of the bridge part of a chapet fitting to a Siamese part with shell sand, applying the coating agent, drying and hitting the bridge part to detach and remove the shell sand coating layer. ;SOLUTION: The recessed groove 26 of a lower die at the lower projecting part 24 of the lower die and the recessed groove 36 of an upper die at the upper projecting part 28 of the upper die for forming the Siamese part in a core forming die 22, are formed. The cross sections of the recessed groove 26 of the lower die and the recessed groove 36 of the upper die, are larger than the diameter of the bridge part 20b of the chaplet. The chaplet 20 is inserted into the recessed groove 26 of the lower die and the upward projecting part 28 of the upper die is abutted on the lowerward projecting 24 of the lower die. The shell sand is pressed into a core forming die 22. The side wall of the core is formed and also, the shell sand is filled up into a cylindrical cavity 34, too. After hardning the shell sand, the coating agent is coated and dried. At the time of hitting the shell sand coating layer formed in the bridge part 20b of the chaplet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
