PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely ensure safety of a train traveling on a viaduct even in the case it encouters a great earthquake. ;SOLUTION: The lower structure 4 of a railway viaduct 1 is so constituted that inverted V-steel frame brace members 3 are arranged to an in-plane space of frame structure 2 formed of reinforced concrete and, at the same time, the neighborhoods of the tops of them are connected to the lower surface of the central part of a beam for the frame structure 2 through energy absorption members 7.
