PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral expansion type movable partition capable of preventing the formation of a sound leak passage even when a lateral travel member expands laterally. ;SOLUTION: A vertically moving member 10 is formed of an inner member 19 vertically moved with a drive means laid within a partition body 1, and the first and the second outer members 20 and 21 at right and left positions. In this case, the second outer member 21 is mounted on the inner member 19 so as to be slidable in right and left, directions, and liked to a lateral travel member 9 so as to be interlocked therewith for travel in right and left directions. Also, the first end seal material 25 and a lateral seal material 26 are provided approximately over the range of the whole length of the first and the second outer members 20 and 21. Furthermore, the second end seal material 27 and a lateral seal material 28 having at least both ends getting in contact with the first end seal material 25 and the lateral seal material 26 are provided over a range longer than the maximum separation range of the first and the second outer members 20 and 21 of the inner member 19.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
