PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support system for steel frame structure that can easily make a structural design without expertise and can easily perform its design change. ;SOLUTION: This design support system is provided with a process to input basic item data of a steel frame structure and a process to generate structural material data for the steel frame structure based on the basic item data and an arrangement rule of a prescribed material set in advance. In the case of generating the structural material data, when the basic item data is out of the prescribed material arrangement rule, correction data are inputted in an interactive form by an input screen and the basic item data already inputted are corrected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
