PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a elevating top plate from a low position to high position in accordance with the growth of a child, by setting the elevating top plate in a high position where an upper face of the elevating top plate is located on the same level as a fixed top plate, and in a low position where the elevating top plate is lowered and is slided to a rear side, so that a rear edge part is positioned under a lower face of the fixed top plate. ;SOLUTION: A study desk 1 with a elevating top plate has a structure that the top plate is divided into a rear fixed top plate 3 which is fixed to the both leg plates 2, 2, and a front elevating top plate 4, and the elevating top plate 4 can be set in a high position where an upper face of the elevating top plate 4 is located on the same level as the fixed top plate 3, and a low position where the elevating top plate 4 is lowered and slided to a rear side, so that and a rear edge part is located under a lower face of the fixed top plate 3. That is, the elevating top plate 4 is lowered by an elevating mechanism 6, the elevating top plate 4 is slided and moved to the rear side to a elevating body 7 to form the top plate of which an execution depth width in narrow, whereby the configuration suitable for an user of small conformation of body can be obtained.
