PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve colony of bacteria related to org. substances included in waste water by feeding and mixing a liq. lactic acid bacterium metabolite taken out of a reinforced lactic acid bacterium into an inlet tank in a waste water treatment plant. ;SOLUTION: Waste water being the origin of malodor is improved by feeding an appropriate amt. of a liq. lactic acid bacterium metabolite extracted from lactic acid bacteria reinforced by symbiotic culture into each inlet tank in a waste water treatment plant and mixing it with waste water. Therefore, waste water which does not give out malodor during treatment is made by the action of the liq. lactic acid bacterium metabolite material and the water quality after treatment is furthermore improved to control environment inside and outside of the waste water treatment plant and it is possible thereby to suppress abnormal propagation of putreifactive bacteria and anaerobic bacteria giving out ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, etc., and to improve well water quality and environment in the stream in the down flow region after treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
