PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an information terminal to be set in an open environment when any user is not present or general information is displayed so that people can freely and easily use the information terminal at a street corner, and to be set in a close environment by preventing a user from considering it when a user is present or a content which should not be known to people other than the user is displayed. ;SOLUTION: At least one part of a display device 12 is separated by a liquid crystal partition 13 having both a transparent state and an opaque state whose transition can be controlled from the outside part, and the liquid crystal partition is freely controlled by a sensor 14 or a program 1 so that a third person can be prevented from referring to any display content or operational content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
