PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of quantitatively measuring creep damage in heat resisting steel of temperature martensite structure such as improved 9 Cr steel. SOLUTION: A sample is taken out from measured part and observed by a transmitting electron microscope(TEM), the ratio of disappearing dislocation in the observed structure is found, and by comparing the ratio of disappearing dislocation in the material suffering known creep damage in the previously obtained same composed material with relative with the creep damage, the creep damage is quantitavely evaluated, even in the case of a sample of temperature martensite structure.
