COMMON INTERPOLATING CIRCUIT FOR PRUNING RADIAL INTERPOLATION AND PRUNING TETRAHEDRAL INTERPOLATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the amount of calculations needed to perform conversion between color spaces by making a choice between (n) 3rd value sets and a 2²-2 4th value sets determined from sets of low-order bit parts according to a control input and supplying a 1st set control input. ;SOLUTION: A single bit is used to control choices of data at the input parts of multiplexers 1301a to 1301n. This single bit control for which a tetrahedral interpolation with symmetrical pruning and of a radial interpolation with symmetrical pruning control inputs to multiplexers 1302a to 1302n are intended. The multiplexers 1301a to 1301n each makes a choice between one of (n) 3rd value sets and one of 2²-2 4th value sets determined from (d) sets of low-order bit parts according to one control input of a 2nd control input set so as to supply the 1st set control input to the multiplexers 1302a to 1302n.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
