PRICE LOOK UP FILE CORRECTION DEVICE FOR ELECTRONIC PRICE LABEL AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for determining a price difference between plural price look up files in an electronic price label system. SOLUTION: This method minimizes a possibility for a wrong price to be displayed by an electronic price label(EPL) 22. This system includes a computer 16 that reads a first price file 44 and a second price file 60, compares merchandise prices in the first and second files and identifies an appropriate price which is different in the first and the second files. The computer preferably is an EPL computer. Once the price difference is identified, the price difference is recorded and processed in accordance with an operator-defined rule.
