PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manuscript moving type reader capable of preventing image rubbing in a simple configuration. ;SOLUTION: A manuscript moving type reader 10 is provided with a contact glass 2, on a principal plane of which a manuscript is conveyed. An image reading part (CCD) 3 is arranged on the back side of the contact glass 2, and a manuscript presser-roller 1 is arranged on the principal plane side of the contact glass 2. A pair of upper and lower conveyance guide plates 4, 6 for introducing the document between the manuscript presser-roller 1 and the contact glass 2, are provided in the upstream of the manuscript presser-roller 1. A cleaning brush 9 is arranged to the lower conveyance guide plate 6 out of the conveyance guide plates 4, 6 so that a part of the brush is projected to the manuscript conveying face side. A static eliminator 16 is provided in the upstream more than positions of the manuscript presser-roller 1 and the cleaning brush 9 in the conveying direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
