PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a radio propagation model having the same frequency correlation characteristic as the one in an actual radio propagation path and having a small number of incoming waves. ;SOLUTION: First, an actual delay profile characteristic and a frequency correlation characteristic are measured. The number of in coming waves and plural pieces of radio propagation models in which the delay time of incoming waves is different are prepared from acquired power delay profile characteristics (20). On the other hand, a required transmission bandwidth is calculated from an information transmission speed, a modulation system and a multi-connection system (30). A frequency correlation characteristic in the required transmission bandwidth is calculated in each radio propagation mode (40). And, from among the above radio propagation models, a model which can approximate and evaluate a frequency correlation characteristic that is measured for the frequency correlation characteristic in the required transmission bandwidth and also whose incoming wave numbers are as few as possible (50).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
