PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a body fat quantity even when contact impedance is large by changing a measuring supply electric current value in response to the contact impedance of living body impedance measuring electrodes, and measuring living body impedance only when generating voltage of a constant current source is not more than prescribed voltage. ;SOLUTION: A living body impedance measuring device composed of a pair of electrodes A (A1 and A2) to contact with tiptoe parts of both feet and a pair of electrodes B (B1 and B2) to measure an electric potential difference between heels by contacting with heel parts of both feet, is arranged on a placing stand of an electronic weighing scale. An input device to input physical characteristics such as stature, age and the distinction of sex is provided. An oscillator to obtain constant voltage having a sine wave and a voltage-electric current converter to obtain plural constant currents are provided, and when a judging result in a generating voltage judging unit is not more than prescribed voltage, output of the voltage-electric current converter is impressed on the electrodes A. An electric potential difference equivalent to a voltage drop from the electrodes B is found, and a body fat quantity is calculated from the physical characteristics and measured body weight, and is displayed on a display.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
