PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector against balls hit by its wearer, the protector being lightweight and capable of being worn and taken off with a single operation although being high in the effect of protecting against impact. ;SOLUTION: A protector 10 against balls hit by its wearer comprises a shin guard piece 12 made of a resin molding taking the form of the human leg from under the knee to the ankle and vertically separated at its rear; a top guard piece 14 similarly made of a resin molding taking the form of the outer periphery of the top part of a spike shoe and having locking pieces integrally provided with both ends of its lower edge, the locking pieces being locked to both sides of the arched part of the spike shoe; and a flexible connecting plate 16 connecting the pieces 12, 14 together. To wear the shin guard piece 12, its rear part is elastically enlarged and fitted over the foot and, when completely fitted, is elastically restored to its original shape to cover the outer periphery of the foot. To wear the top guard piece 14, its lower part is elastically enlarged and fitted over the top of the foot, and when it is completely fitted, the locking pieces lock to both sides of the arched part of the foot, so that the top guard piece 14 is fixed in a fitted position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
