VENTILATING FILTER CIGARETTE WITH COAXIAL FILTER ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ventilating filter cigarette for reducing the increase ratio of smoke yield while smoking with a ventilating zone shut. ;SOLUTION: This ventilating filter cigarette 10 has (a) a tobacco rod 11, (b) a packing paper for the tobacco rod 11 and (c) a filter 12 for ventilating by a vent 15. In this case, the filter 12 has coaxial elements 13 and 14. The coaxial filter elements 13 and 14 have the filter nucleus 14, a packing paper for the filter nucleus, the filter jacket 13 and a packing paper for filter jacket 13. (d) The material specification and the dimension of each element of the tobacco rod 11 and the filter 12 are designed so that a tobacco smoke flows mainly through the filter nucleus 14 when the ventilating zone is opened and the tobacco smoke flows mostly through the filter jacket 13 of the coaxial elements 13 and 14 when a ventilating vent 15 is covered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
