PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the new subject derivative having inhibiting action on synthesizing chitin, which is a component of cell walls of fungi, and used for preventing and curing mycotic diseases by comprising a specific 5-deoxy-5- ureido-4-β-allofuranosyluronic acid derivative. ;SOLUTION: This new 5-deoxy-5-ureido-β-D-allofuranosyluronic acid derivative (salt) is expressed by formula I [R¹ and R² are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, aryl, acyl or heterocyclic group, a substituted) cyclic amino group formed together with (n) atom to which R¹ and R² bind; R is a (protected) carboxyl or a (protected) carbamoyl; X is O or S; A is a group of formula II (Y is CH or N; R³ is H, an alkyl, an aryl, carboxyl or the like), a condensed ring formed at 5th and 6th positions of uracil, etc.], and useful for inhibiters for synthesizing chitin, etc. The compound is obtained by condensing a compound expressed by formula III with a (thio)carbamic acid halide expressed by formula IV (Z is a halogen) in the presence of a base or a silylating agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
