EXPANSION/REVERSE EXPANSION MECHANISM FOR BED OR THE LIKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion/reverse expansion mechanism for use with a bed, capable of adjusting its bottom position to the wounded condition of a patient, using simpler constitution. ;SOLUTION: A connecting shaft 18 at the projecting arm 16 of the horizontal shaft 11b of a foot-side high/low link 11 is locked to the locking part 23a of an expansion control lever 23 to restrain the foot side high/low link 11, and then by operating the actuating arm 21 of a high/low actuating part 12 to move it back, only a head-side high/low link 11 is displaced to expand a floor part. A stopper 27 at a reverse-expansion control lever 28 is engaged with the round bar 26 of a link stopper 24 to restrain the head side high/low link 11, and then by operating the actuating arm 21 of the high/low actuating part 12 to move it back, only a high/low universal link 15 is displaced to lower and displace the foot side high/low link 11 while keeping it independent of a high/low interlocking rod 17, to reverse-expand the floor part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
