摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain the low frequency underwater transmitter with a broad band characteristic while keeping a sound radiation capability and its efficiency to be high in the transmitter used for the ocean development investigation or the like. ;CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric active element 11 is made of a piezoelectric material having a very high piezoelectric constant (d) and plural elements 11 are arranged in a recessed part 13a of a case 13 and an acoustic reflecting plate 12 is strongly adhered and integrated with the piezoelectric active element 11. Even when the piezoelectric active element 11 is driven under a non- resonance state, a large displacement is obtained and a high volume speed is generated in the acoustic reflector 12 and then the broad band characteristic which has been impossible with a conventional resonance transmitter is obtained with a small size and a light weight.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
