PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce glass without the occurrence of the wasteful use of materials without limitation on the shapes and min. dimensions of glass pieces constituting respective frames by melting and adhering the contact position of flat planar base glass and the partition frames and packing glass powder, etc., of arbitrary colors into the spaces formed of the glass and the frames, then heating and cooling the glass powder, etc., thereby forming the color glass. ;SOLUTION: The partition frames having nearly the same coefft. of thermal expansion as the coefft. of thermal expansion of the transparent flat planer base glass are placed on one surface of the base glass. The base glass is heated up to a melting temp. range and is held at the temp. for a prescribed time. The temp. is thereafter lowered down to a slow cooling point and when the slow cooling point is attained, the glass is slowly cooled down to ordinary temp. at a prescribed cooling rate. As a result, the glass and the frames are melted and adhered. The glass powder, etc., of the arbitrary colors having nearly the same coefft. of thermal expansion as the coefft. of thermal expansion of the glass are packed into the spaces formed by the glass and the frames and are then heated, by which the base glass and the partition frames are melted and adhered.
