PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paddle steamer capable of suppressing generation of waves. ;SOLUTION: In a paddle steamer 1 in which a rotary paddle body 12 for propulsion is arranged in a recessed part 4 formed at least the a rear part of a hull, a hydrofoil 21 for suppressing waves provided in the recessed part 4 rearward of the rotary paddle body 12, an oscillation device for oscillating the hydrofoil 21 is provided on the hull side, and the wave generated by the rotary paddle body 12 is pressed downward by keeping the hydrofoil 21 in an approximately horizontal posture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
