PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contents from being damaged by too deep cutting and to prevent an egg from being disabled to be broken by too shallow cutting with eccentricity at the center of held egg and the center of suckers. ;SOLUTION: In an automatic egg breaker with which both the ends of egg (a) are held between counter suckers 1 and the eggshell of the egg (a) is cut from the outside by the outer peripheral tip of rotary blade 2 orthogonal with a common center line C of suckers 1 while rotating the egg (a) around the center line C, the size of the outer diameter of the egg (a) carried by a conveyer 4 is detected from the weight of the egg (a), the height of the egg (a) held between the suckers 1 is adjusted by vertically moving the conveyer 4 at the position to hold the egg between the suckers 1, and the egg (a) is held while making its center coincident with the center of suckers 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
