PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new breed of Delphinium plant, enabling to efficiently produce the subject seedling at any time within a period capable of storing seeds obtained by the interspecies cross of the Delphinium plant by extracting the embryo of the seed and subsequently culturing the embryo. ;SOLUTION: This method for producing an interspecies cross seedling comprises leaving a seed obtained by the interspecies cross of a Delphinium plant preferably after 1-4 weeks under a germination condition, extracting the embryo of the seed or exposing at least a part of the embryo and subsequently culturing the embryo. The seed obtained by the interspecies cross of the Delphinium plant is preferably obtained by crossing two species selected from the group of the Delphinium plant species comprising Delphinium elatum, Delphinium nudicaule, Delphinium cardinale, Delphinium grandiflorum, Delphinium zalil and Delphinium belladonna.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
