PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the revetment function of a high-water revetment and to prevent vegetation from being washed away due to a swell of a river by providing pot-like recesses capable of storing vegetation soil on the upper face of a plate-like block main body made of porous concrete having continuous voids penetratable by the roots of plants. ;SOLUTION: A block main body 1 is molded with porous concrete having continuous voids extendable with the roots of grasses. Multiple square recesses 2 are arranged and formed into a lattice shape on the upper face of the block main body 1. When a slope is covered with the block main bodies 1, vegetation is prevented from being washed away by the weight of the block main bodies 1. When grasses are planted in the recesses 2, their roots reach the natural ground below the block main bodies 1 to integrate the natural ground and the block main bodies 1, and the revetment function by the blocks is increased. Since the roots of the planted grasses infiltrate into the voids, the grasses are not washed away at the time of a swell in emergency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
