PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revetment structure which generates a favorable environment for breeding of fishes and fixation of plants, can effectively conserve and improve the ecosystem underwater and at the shore, and creates a landscaping having good compatibility with the surrounding environment. ;SOLUTION: The front wall 3 of each block 1 has an uneven surface shape simulated from a natural stone, and the joint 2 of the front wall 3 is shaped as having no artificial straight patters, where relatively small through holes 7 leading to a cavities 22 are formed between blocks 1, 1 adjoining over and below and on the left and right, and openings 8 greater than the through holes 7 are provided on the bottom of the front wall 3 of the undermost block. A fish bank forming material 10 such as rubble stones is put in the cavities 22 in blocks 1 in the lower part, while a cultivating material such as earth and sand and/or seed-containing soil sacks are accommodated in cavities 22 in the blocks 1 in the over-part, and a slit groove 12 is formed leading to the back surface soil of the revetment structure depending upon the dimensional difference between the back wall 4 and front wall 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
