PURPOSE: To provide an operating device for a manned conveying vehicle, capable of simultaneously performing two operations. ;CONSTITUTION: An operating device is provided with a grip 12 in which a shaft 13 is rotatably supported, a potentiometer 17 for detecting the rotating position of the grip 12, a corrugated switch 19 provided on the shaft of the grip 12 and in the position where it can be operated by the thumb for operating the grip 12, and to be turned back and forth from the neutral position by the forward or backward operation of the thumb, and a potentiometer 23 for detecting the rotating position of the corrugated switch 19. Accordingly, the switch 19 is rotated with the rotation of a shaft 13 of the grip 12, and the switch can be simultaneously operated by the thumb for operating the grip 12 without change of the position of the switch 19 capable of being operated by the thumb, and two operations can be simultaneously performed, two operational signals can be simultaneously output, accordingly, work efficiency can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
