PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally-welded type ball valve and a radiation test method for its welded part which can conduct radiation test for all parts of the welded part of a valve casnig, and can prevent an increase in size, weight, and cost, and liability to damage because of troublesome work. ;SOLUTION: An annular seat 11 is formed, which includes vertical inner bosses 2e, 2f in parallel to the connection end surfaces 2a, 2b with caps 3, 4 inside a body 2, and involves its width almost as the same as its diameter and its height unable to touch a ball 5. The film mounting part of a film retaining device involving a deformable shank part with flexibility is inserted between a valve casing 10 and the ball 5 along the side surfaces 11a, 11b of the annular seat 11 through the through hole 5a of the ball 5 kept in its half- opening condition, and all the parts of the welded parts 8, 9 to be tested is subjected to radiation test.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
