PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject promoter capable of filling matrix fiber by promoting collagen production in enderonic fibroblast and capable of providing a skin preparation for external use, effective in prevention, etc., of aging symptom of skin by including geraniol. ;SOLUTION: This promoter is obtained by dissolving geraniol which is a perfume substance contained as main ingredient in East Indian geranium oil, rose oil, geranium oil or citronella oil and widely exists in vegetable essential oils such as linaloe oil, lavender oil, ylang-ylang oil and neroli oil into a solvent such as ethanol, ether, a vegetable oil, propylene glycol or a mineral oil or dissolving geraniol into a base such as lotion, emulsion, gel or cream. This skin preparation for external use for prevention of skin aging or promotion of wound healing is obtained by including the promoter in an amount of about 0.01-1.0 wt.% as geraniol.
