PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dew condensation on the inside of the wall of a building as high as three stories or more equipped with external heat insulation by furnishing the building with an air passage through which the air introduced from an air inlet at the bottom rises to be exhausted from an air exhaust hole provided at the top, furnishing a vent at the middle story or continued vents at every third or fourth stories, and introducing the air from the vent or vents into the aeration layer so as to increase the amount of aeration. ;SOLUTION: An aeration device has a member for vent which is composed of a body, a cover and a damper and is arranged so as to shut the first air inlet hole if it blows hard to cause application of a large wind pressure by means of movement of the damper with the wind, and a building is subjected to an external heat insulation process with a heat insulating material 7A, wherein the vent member 1 is attached to the wall surface of the building in such a condition that an air passage 9 is reserved outdoors, and an exterior material 10 is installed in such a way as fitted stretching between an upper and a lower vent member 1. Accordingly the top and bottom of the air passage 9 are in communication to the outside air and the building is precluded from dew condensation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
