METHOD FOR DRYING MONOLITHIC REFRACTORY LINING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten drying time by covering the surface of a lining lined with monolithic refractory with a heat-insulating material having microwave permeability and gas permeability and heating and drying the lining with irradiation of the microwave. ;SOLUTION: After forming the lining 1 of the refractory layer by kneading the monolithic refractory with water and pouring, the lining 1 is irradiated with the microwave from a microwave guide 5 and heated and dried. In such a case, the surface of the lining 1 is covered with the heat-insulating material 2 excellent in the microwave permeability and the gas permeability using silica fiber, etc. Since the heat-insulating material 2 easily permeates the microwave and reduces thermal radiation, the lining 1 is uniformly heated and dried from the inner part and also, this material has the excellent gas permeability, the steam from the lining 1 is easily executed into a gas exhaust hole 4, and the lining 1 can efficiently be dried in the short time.
