PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid load decrease detection method for easily detecting a signal of rapid load decrease, which is conventionally unclear, from a shafting load generating source such as a generator and to provide an apparatus for the method. ;SOLUTION: An analog delay circuit 11, a subtractor 11, a divider 13, and an ON/OFF circuit 14 having hysteresis as a determining means are combined one another. Load rapid decrease state is judged by calculating a load output alteration value by subtracting the load output at the moment from the delayed load output T time before by the subtractor 11, giving a signal of an output alteration ratio by dividing the obtained load output alteration value by a rated load output by the divider 13, comparing the signal of an output alteration ration with a standard value by the determining means, and determining the load rapid decrease state in the case the signal of an output alteration ratio is higher than the standard value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
