Composting method of organic industrial waste generated from animals and plants and composting material used therefor

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for composting organic industrial wastes, enabling to efficiently ferment the organic industrial wastes to eliminate malodors from the organic industrial wastes and compost the organic industrial wastes into the compost in a form capable being easily absorbed into plants, and further to obtain the composting materials. SOLUTION: This method for composting organic industrial wastes comprises adding an alkali mixture comprising a Ca-containing compound and a Mg- containing compound in a Ca/Mg weight ratio of 3/1 to 1/1 to the organic industrial wastes in an amount of 0.1-1.5wt.% based on the organic industrial wastes, and subsequently fermenting the organic industrial wastes. On the composting treatment, a K compound may be added so that the K/Mg weight ratio of the composting treatment system is 1/2. A wood-based material such as saw dust or a cellulose and/or lignin-containing material such as chaff is preferably further added.
