PURPOSE: To obtain a vulcanizable elastomer in which the elastomer is well reinforced and which has improved tensile properties by mixing a specified aramid/polydiene copolymer with the elastomer. ;CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. elastomer is mixed with about 0.5-70 pts.wt. aramid/ polybutadiene multi-block copolymer having a number-average molecular weight of about 10,000 to 100,000, an aramid block weight ratio of about 10-50% and represented by formula I (wherein w is 1-100; y is 10-500; z is 1-120; and X is formula II; and B is formula III), and, optionally, common fillers and other additives, and the mixture is mixed to obtain a reinforced vulcanizable elastomer. Next, a common vulcanizing agent, an accelerator, etc., are added thereto, and the mixture is vulcanized at a temperature of 110-180°C in a mold by a usual vulcanization method to obtain a reinforced vulcanized elastomer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
