KANJI INPUT DEVICE AND ITS CONTROL METHOD FOR POS TERMINAL AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KANJI (Chinese character) input device for the POS terminals of a POS system consisting of POS terminals which are placed on a service floor and hold the individual management data and a management computer installed at an office where the data are collected from every POS terminal and the management data are held. ;SOLUTION: This device is provided with a touch panel 11 and a screen display control processing part 13 which controls the display screen of the panel 11 and also converts a data string consisting of HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) letters inputted via the display screen of the panel 11 into the corresponding KANJI. The part 13 displays a HIRAGANA letter input screen in response to the prescribed selection input, converts the input data string consisting of HIRAGANA letters into the corresponding KANJI to display them at a prescribed position and decides these corresponding KANJI.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
