METHOD FOR DETECTING AND MEASURING BLOOD PLATELET INCLUDING PREMATURE RETE BLOOD PLATELET AND ADOPTION OF THE SAME TO CLINIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe the change in a group of blood platelets of each man and the recovery from a bone marrow function depression condition in various diseases by measuring the presence of a group of initial blood platelet precursor cells (immature rete blood platelets) which have not been discriminated or separated. ;SOLUTION: A whole blood sample is fixed and washed (a). The obtained sample is reacted with a fluorescent dye capable of dyeing nucleic acid (b). The obtained reacted material is subjected to a flow cytometry procedure using R1, R2 and R3 gate windows which are set for non-fluorescent mature blood platelets, fluorescent-dyed rete blood platelets or premature rete blood platelets fluorescent-dyed higher than the rete blood platelets, respectively and utilizing a fluorescent light and a front scattered light (c). The non-fluorescent mature blood platelets determined by the R1 gate window are measured (d). The rete blood platelets determined by the R2 gate window are measured (e).
