PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller or belt type transporter constituted in such a way as to be able to change the direction of a workpiece around an axis vertical to the axis of the workpiece. ;SOLUTION: A transporter for sheet or plate like workpieces 21 of small specific mass such as cardboard has two transport elements 11, (12) placed parallel along a path of the workpiece 21 and changed in the direction around an axis vertical to a sheet or plate. Separate driving means 18 adjustable in speed are connected to the respective transport elements 11, (12). A caisson 22 provided with a fan 23 presses the workpieces 21 to the transport elements 11, (12) in order to transmit different speed to the respective surface parts of the workpieces 21 respectively brought into contact with the transport elements 11, (12).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
