Fuzzy pattern recognition manner and device

摘要

PURPOSE:To execute efficient and accurate pattern recognition by comparing a graphic formed with a binary signal based on the combination of adaptation of inputted coordinate points to preliminarily set membership function with a graphic having fuzzy boundary. CONSTITUTION:The binary signal transmitted by a signal conversion part 2 is checked against graphic information by three-dimensional membership function combined in a membership function setting part 3 and the degree of their coinci dence is calculated. Such check is executed for all graphic patterns which are candidates for recognition. While treating the degree of coincidence as certainty, a signal expressing the certainty is outputted along with a signal expressing the checked shape. Thus, a fuzzy area having a desirable shaped boundary can be set within input variable space and the accurate pattern recognition can be obtained.
