DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER WITH WAVEFORM EQUALIZATION MEANS AND METHOD OF MEASURING CHARACTERISTIC OF TRANSMISSION LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the distortion of a transmission line in a single state by disregarding distortion of inside of the receiver. SOLUTION: This receiver is constituted of a demodulation means 102 that receives a digital modulation signal and demodulates it, a waveform equalization means 103 that waveform-equalizes an output of the demodulation means and provides an output of a signal from which distortion is eliminated, a storage means 104 that stores control data of the waveform equalization means 103 and provides an output as required, and a control means 105 that controls the waveform equalization means 103 and the storage means 104. In this case, control data subjected to waveform equalization without distortion in a transmission line are stored in the storage means 104, and the waveform equalization means 103 is controlled by control data stored in the storage means 104.
