Glenoid mirror clip and its interposition instrument

PURPOSE: To repair the rupture of a semi-lunar bone and a soft tissue by providing on a biodegradable clip rigid legs having projections which are inserted in the tissue using an arthroscope appliance, and connected to each other by a flexible part to be anchored in the tissue to bring a ruptured part close thereto. CONSTITUTION: A clip 10 to be used in repairing the rupture 32 of a peripheral semi-lunar bone 30 is provided with legs 12, 14 having projections 18, 20 and 22, 24. The legs 12, 14 are made of the rigid biodegradable material, and when the clip is inserted in the tissue, it is slowly solved holding the tissue at the prescribed position for a sufficiently long time until the tissue is cured, and no second operation to remove the clip is unnecessary for a patient. In the operation, jaws 64, 66 are placed at the prescribed position on each side of the ruptured tissue to be repaired, an arthroscope appliance 50 is moved forward and a handle 62 is gripped. The legs 12, 14 of the clip 10 are pushed into the tissue, and when the clip 10 is inserted in the tissue, the legs 12, 14 are moved together, and completely embedded in the tissue.
