PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the quality of a finished product hydrogen gas by a PSA process by which it is possible to obtain the hydrogen gas of a stable finished product quality without the necessity to use analyzing instruments. ;SOLUTION: This method for controlling the quality of a finished product hydrogen gas by a PSA process uses an analyzing instrument 11 which measures the density of a component gas most hardly adsorbable among impurity gases or the density of one of gases selected as hardly adsorbable components, arranged on the outlet side of adsorption columns A-C. In addition, a flow rate regulating valve 12 is installed on the outlet side of the adsorption columns A-C and is controlled so that the peak value of the density of the gas measured by the analyzing instrument 11 is a constant value or stays within a constant range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
