PURPOSE: To provide an alloy type thermal fuse of flat case type in which a lead wire can be easily and surely positioned in the best position for preventing the rupture of a case by arc at operation, and the thermosensitive performance can be sufficiently improved. ;CONSTITUTION: A low melting point fusible alloy piece 3 is connected between parallel lead wires 2, 2, a flux 4 is applied to the low melting point fusible alloy piece 3, a one-side opened flat case 1 is put on the low melting point fusible alloy piece having the flux applied thereto, and the space between the lead wire and the case opening is sealed by an adhesive 5. A positioning groove 12 for situating the lead wires nearly in the center of the thickness within the flat case is formed on the deep side end surface in the flat case 1, and the top end of each lead wire 2 is brought into contact with the bottom 121 of the positioning groove 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
