PURPOSE: To improve the safety of an alloy type temperature fuse of a flat case type, by changing the joint position between a lead wire and a low-melting point fusible alloy piece to restrain bursting of a case at the time of the fusion of a fuse element. ;CONSTITUTION: By generated heat based on the excessive current of electric equipment to be protected, a low-melting point fusible alloy piece is melted to golburizingly parting the melted metal to generate an arc the time of this parting. In this case, the arc is generated between opposite spherical surfaces in parting, the width of the arc can normally be within the diameter of the spherical surface, and the radius of the spherical surface is normally less the twice diameter or less of a low-melting point fusible alloy piece before melting. However, in a current alloy type temperature fuse, a distance to a deep side end surface (c) in a case 1 from the joining center (a), between a low-melting point fusible alloy piece 3 and a lead wire 2, is made, e.g. 2.5 times or more of the diameter of the low-melting point fusible alloy piece 3, avoiding the contact of the arc to the deep side end surface in the case 1 with a sufficient allowance to exclude bursting of the case.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
